Maserati is an Italian manufacturer of sports cars, sedans and SUVs. The company was founded in 1914 in Bologna. From 1950, Maserati was one of the dominant racing car brands in the Formula 1 circus, winning the Formula 1 World Championship title in 1957. Although Ferrari has historically been a competitor, Maserati is now part of the Stellantis Group, a merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot SA since January 16, 2021. However, Maserati has retained its own sales structure, resulting in sales of EUR 2.32 billion in 2022.
Besides winning the Targa Floria and the Indianapolis 500, Maserati can present many trophies. Throughout the course of history, the brand’s focus changed from racing cars and sports cars to grand tourers and sedans including the legendary Maserati 3500 GT.
