«Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse» Sportscar Tour

One of the most beautiful panoramic road car tours in the Austrian Alps can be experienced on the "Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse" car tour. However, this road trip is only possible in the warmer months - usually from May to autumn - because the road is closed in the colder months. For motor vehicles, you have to pay a small fee (toll) to drive on the Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse, as it is a toll road. But the investment is worth it: the "Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse" is also known as the "dream road of the Alps for connoisseurs".

Route

The pure driving time on the road trip "Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse" is about 30 minutes. However, there are several stops that you should make for their spectacular views. We recommend driving the "Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse" in the following stages, for example in a sports car such as a Ferrari or Porsche, a convertible from Mercedes or BMW, or a classic car.

1. Part: Toll Station Partenen - Viewpoint Kehre 22/23

The first stage goes from the Partenen toll station in the Montafon valley to the viewpoint between Kehre 22 and Kehre 23, from where you have a great view of the valley.

2. Part: Viewpopint Kehre 22/23 - Mountain Pass Bielerhöhe

Continue from the viewpoint between Kehre 22 and 23 up to the Bielerhöhe pass at an altitude of 2037 meters. It is also the highest point on the "Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse", the location of several restaurants and the Silvretta reservoir.

3. Part: Mountain Pass Bielerhöhe - Toll Station Galtür

The last stage leads from the Bielerhöhe to the Galtür toll station in the Paznaun Valley, with only two hairpin bends left on this trip. From the Galtür toll station to the village of Galtür it is still about four kilometers.
