If you are in the mood for pure driving pleasure, you can circle the Lake Geneva in a single day. About 170 kilometers of road along the shores of the lake are looking forward to you driving on them. Around the lake, you can explore countless smaller and bigger sights, a round course without stopovers would almost be a shame! The ES Magazine presents some very nice trips around the Lake Geneva that are ideally suited to do during the International Motor Show Geneva.
Mountain pass roads and watch history
From Geneva, a gorgeous pass road behind Nyon leads to Vaud onto the Col du Marchairuz. This beautiful route can be enjoyed best in a convertible like the XYZ. If you keep following the course of he road, you will enter the Vallée de Joux, a remote high valley in the Swiss Jura. Here, you can dive into the fascinating history of the Swiss clock and watch industry – or into the lake Lac de Joux, if you’re looking to cool down.
Afterwards, you can take the same road again to get back to Geneva. Alternatively, if you prolong your trip by leaving the Vallée de Joux on the northern side of the lake. Like that, you can take a detour to Lausanne before returning home.
Car reccomendation: For the tour to the Vallée du Joux, we recommend either a Bentley GT or a Bentley GTC. Both models combine a noble and graceful appearance with a lot of engine power underneath the engine hood. Therefore, they offer great driving pleasure on the mountain pass roads in the Jura area.
