Bentley is a British luxury car manufacturer based in Crewe, Cheshire in the United Kingdom. Group sales in 2020 were €2.0 billion with profits of around €20 million.

The company Bentley Motors Limited was founded in 1919 by Walter Owen Bentley. In the 1920s, Bentley dominated motorsports and won several famous races such as the 24 Hours of LeMans. After World War II, during which Bentley produced mainly military vehicles, the company struggled with financial difficulties and was eventually acquired by Rolls-Royce in 1946.

In 1990 Bentley Motors Limited was bought by the Volkswagen Group and a big change took place. British design combined with modern technology became the core competence and was implemented in various forms such as the large radiator grille or the handcrafted interior.
